Four years ago, I met my husband and we hit it off straight away. If we were to take things further, where would we live? Well, my husband handled that very cleverly. First, he took me to the sand drifts and the woods, then for a drink in the town centre on the square, and afterwards for a walk along the waterfront and the many little beaches. Deep down, I was sold straight away – just imagine living here!!! Everything a person could possibly enjoy is right on your doorstep. On top of that, the people here are so friendly. Could that be down to that wonderful holiday feeling you get when you’re in Harderwijk?
A city to fall in love with!
After 3½ years, my children and I took the plunge and moved to Harderwijk. Together, we bought a beautiful house overlooking Lake Veluwe. Every morning when I open the curtains, I feel intensely happy at the sight of the breathtaking view. Every day is different: in summer, boats glide past, and in winter you see the tranquil beauty of snow and ice. In short, Harderwijk is a town to fall in love with.
