The Petrakerk is the church building of the Nederlands Gereformeerde Kerk in Harderwijk, which claims to be the first sustainable and gas-free church in the Netherlands. In addition to church services on Sunday, room space can be reserved for activities, and services can be followed online.
Receiving light, giving light
That is what the congregation stands for. The congregation gathers in the church on Sundays, and those who cannot be there can watch live via YouTube or Kerkdienstgemist. Services can also be watched there afterwards.
A green church
De Petrakerk presents itself as a sustainable, gas-free church. There is a charging station for electric cars next to the building, and the congregation is active as a Groene Kerk.
Activities throughout the year
Alongside church services, the congregation organises, among other things, an Alpha course and Alpha Youth. Various working groups and committees keep congregational life running, and each season has its own annual theme.
Room hire and accessibility
If you need a room for an activity, send a request to the verger. They will let you know what the options are. The church has an induction loop for people with hearing loss.
